You’ll have the chance to drive your own husky team or relax as a passenger while the sled glides through silent, snow-covered forests and unspoiled nature. Before the ride, you’ll visit the energetic and friendly huskies at the kennel, where the experienced guides will share stories about their lives, care, and training — all in a warm, unhurried atmosphere.
This approx. 45-minute self driving experience is much more than just a ride: after the journey, enjoy warm drinks and stories by the fire, turning the moment into a lasting memory. Suitable for all ages, this activity is the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the nature and culture of Lapland up close — powered by the boundless spirit of the huskies.

Itinerary
Meeting point At Maakuntakatu 31 Lapland Royal Adventures Office, or pick up. Changing clothes and transfer to the activity location.
We meet you at our office at Maakuntakatu 31. If you have ordered pick up, we will pick you up from your accommodation
Transfer
Transfer to the Husky farm by minivan or by bus. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes.
Winter clothing
If you do not have warm winter clothing, we will provide you with winter overall, mittens and boots before the safari.
Husky Ride 7,5km
Experience the self driven 5km Husky safari with your Husky team. Safari duration is about 45 minutes.
Introduction to Huskies life
Our Husky guides will tell you about raising the Huskies, how we train them and how their year cycle goes. You will learn very interesting facts about the life in the Husky farm all year around, while enjoying warm drinks and gingerbread cookies.
Transfer
Return transfer provided by bus, to our office in Rovaniemi city center after the activity. We thank you for the day and for your time!

- Important Information about the Husky Safari Husky rides can be physically demanding, and participants may be exposed to vibration and physical strain. For this reason, husky safaris are not recommended for pregnant women. The husky safari lasts approximately 45 minutes. Children ride in the same sled with adults (max. 2 adults + 2 children per sled). One participant drives the sled, while the other rides as a passenger. For safety reasons, the driver cannot be changed during the safari. The activity may be cancelled or rescheduled if the group size is smaller than 2 persons.

- If you have chosen the pick up service, we will notify you of the exact pickup time via email. If you have any questions about the pickup locations, feel free to contact us! Kindly wait outside at the agreed location for the guide to pick you up. You can also arrive directly at our meeting point: Lapland Royal Adventures Office, Maakuntakatu 31.
- If your pick-up address is more than 15 km from our office, we charge €50 per direction for transportation per way.

Yes, you will have the opportunity to interact the huskies after the safari. You will learn about the dogs, take photos, and get to know them while our guides introduce you to the team.
What should I wear for a husky safari?
We recommend wearing warm, layered winter clothing suitable for cold weather. We also provide all necessary winter equipment, including overalls, boots, and gloves, to ensure you stay warm and comfortable during the safari.
Do I need prior experience to join the husky safari?
No prior experience is needed. Our husky safaris are suitable for beginners, and you will receive full instructions before the ride. Our guides will help you feel comfortable and confident with the sled dogs and equipment.
What happens if the weather is very cold or snowy?
The experience runs in all typical Arctic winter conditions. In extreme weather, safety always comes first, and the guide may adjust the program if needed to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all guests.

We will do our best to accommodate your needs and provide suitable alternatives whenever possible.
