Embracing the STF Path: Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

At Lapland Royal Adventures, sustainability is not simply a goal—it is a continuous journey. We proudly follow the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) programme, an internationally recognized seven-step development path
that guides tourism businesses toward long-term sustainability. This framework ensures that our commitment is structured, measurable, and constantly evolving to meet the highest standards of responsible travel.

People at the Heart of Our Sustainability

Our people—staff, guests, and the local community—are at the core of our sustainability work. Our staff are the true champions of change. Every member of our team
plays a vital role in our sustainability efforts, from undergoing STF training to guiding guests in eco-conscious practices. They embody our values and help deliver meaningful, sustainable experiences in every activity we offer.

Our guests are invited to be active partners in sustainability. We encourage visitors to take part in protecting Lapland’s pristine environment by choosing low-impact adventures, such as responsible transport options and energy-wise accommodations. We promote cultural respect by encouraging learning about local traditions and fostering responsible interaction with nature. We also emphasize the importance of waste-wise travel, which includes sorting trash, conserving water, and minimizing footprints in the outdoors.

The local community provides both our foundation and our inspiration. The voices and traditions of local people shape everything we do, and we are committed to supporting local artisans, guiding services, and businesses in order to strengthen the regional economy. Together with our partners, we actively engage in regional initiatives that combat waste and ensure animal welfare in tourism. The STF programme enables us to align with these efforts and amplify their impact through measurable indicators and joint development.
