Come and meet your friendly reindeer and enjoy a short but magical 500-meter sleigh ride through snowy landscapes just like a scene from a winter fairytale.
Your visit begins at a traditional reindeer farm, where you'll get to know the animals and hear about the everyday life and traditions of reindeer herders in Lapland. During the sleigh ride, you’ll have a peaceful moment in nature, gliding quietly through a snow-covered forest.
After the ride, you can take photos with the reindeer and enjoy a hot drink. You’ll also hear more stories about local life and reindeer herding.
This activity offers an unhurried, authentic moment surrounded by the nature and culture of Lapland.

Transfer to the activity location takes approximately 20 minutes from Rovaniemi city center.
Short Reindeer Sleigh Ride and Visit to Reindeer Farm
After the ride, guests will visit the reindeer farm and the guides will share stories about the reindeer´s lives.
Transfer
Return transfer to our office in Rovaniemi city center after the activity. We thank you for the day and for your time!

- If your pick-up address is more than 11 km from our office, we charge €50 per direction for transportation.

What should I wear?
We provide you with a warm winter overall, boots, and gloves to keep you comfortable in Arctic conditions. We still recommend dressing in warm base layers underneath for extra comfort. Our gear is designed to keep you warm even in very cold weather.
Is the reindeer safari suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. No previous experience is needed. Before the ride, you will receive clear instructions, and the reindeer sledding is gentle and easy, making it suitable for most participants.
Do I get to meet and feed the reindeer?
Yes, during the experience you will meet friendly reindeer up close and have the chance to feed them under guidance. It’s a calm and authentic way to connect with these iconic Arctic animals.
What happens if the weather is very cold or snowy?
The experience runs in all typical Arctic winter conditions. In extreme weather, safety always comes first, and the guide may adjust the program if needed to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all guests.
