Frequently asked about snowmobile safaris
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes, Ranua Wildlife Park is a perfect destination for families with children. The animals are very interesting for all ages, and the easy walking routes make it accessible. Please note that the visit takes place outdoors on walking paths, so dressing warmly and comfortably is important, especially in winter.
Food, drinks & toilets during the tour
There is a break during the tour where we enjoy a campfire lunch. We grill sausages over an open fire and serve warm juice. There are also toilet facilities available along the route.
Will I see animals during the visit?
Yes, Ranua Wildlife Park is home to around 50 Arctic animal species. We walk through the entire park during the tour, so you will have the chance to see many different animals along the way. Please note that some animals may be resting or hiding, especially in winter, but you will definitely see animals during the visit.
Why choose a guided tour to Ranua Wildlife Park?
A guided tour makes your visit more informative and relaxed. Our guide will share interesting facts about Arctic animals, their habits, and habitats, helping you get much more out of the experience than exploring on your own. The guide also leads the way through the park, ensuring you don’t miss any highlights and that the day runs smoothly from start to finish.
What happens if the weather is very cold or snowy?
The experience runs in all typical Arctic winter conditions. In extreme weather, safety always comes first, and the guide may adjust the program if needed to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all guests.
Do I need special equipment for visiting Ranua Zoo?
No special equipment is needed for the visit. We also provide winter overalls for your comfort, if needed. We recommend dressing warmly in layered clothing, as most of the park is outdoors and you will be walking in cold conditions. Good winter shoes, gloves, and a hat are highly recommended for comfort.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
If your tour includes lunch, snacks, or refreshments, please let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions when making your booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and provide suitable alternatives whenever possible. To ensure we can make the necessary arrangements, it is important that we receive this information in advance.
