Life at the Husky Kennel – Where the Pack Comes First

Life at our husky kennel is built around one essential idea: the pack. Huskies are naturally social animals, and strong pack dynamics are the foundation of everything we do. When dogs work together in harmony, sledding becomes smooth, calm and enjoyable — both for the dogs and for those riding with them. Our huskies live active lives, filled with movement, fresh air and purpose, but just as importantly, every dog has regular rest days. Recovery is a vital part of wellbeing, allowing each husky to stay healthy, balanced and happy throughout the season.

Different Personalities Showcased at the Husky Kennel

No two huskies are the same — and we celebrate that fully. Each dog has its own personality, preferences and character, just like people do. Some are curious and outgoing, others calm and observant, some playful leaders and some gentle companions. We treat every husky as an individual, paying attention to what each one needs and responds to best. This personal approach builds trust and creates a strong bond between the dogs and their handlers.

After a husky sledding experience, guests are welcome to spend time at the kennel and meet the dogs. This is often one of the most meaningful moments of the visit — seeing where the huskies live, observing their pack life and getting to know the dogs beyond the sled. It’s a chance to slow down, ask questions and connect with the animals in a natural and respectful way.

Ethical Husky Sledding in Lapland

The wellbeing of our huskies always comes first. During the coldest winter days, the dogs are carefully protected with warm coats in addition to their natural fur, ensuring they stay comfortable in extreme conditions. Their harnesses — one of the most important tools in sled work — are individually selected to suit each dog’s body and needs. Every detail, from equipment to daily routines, is guided by respect, care and responsibility.

At Lapland Royal Adventures, husky sledding is not just an activity — it is a shared journey built on trust between humans, dogs and nature. When you visit our kennel, you step into a world where the pack comes first, individuality is honoured and every experience is shaped with heart. We warmly invite you to meet our huskies and feel the spirit of Lapland through their eyes and paws.
